Club on the Park

Club on the Park Casino imageClub on the Park was sold to Sky Bet, part of British Sky Broadcasting plc. It was closed down in 2007. Club on the Park was itself a re-incarnation of the Ritz Casino following a lawsuit over the use of the terms from different 'Ritz' licence holders. Bit of a mess really. Anyway, below you'll find the review of what we thought of the casino when it was in operation.

The home page is neat and tidy, and although the bulk of the screen is dedicated to advertising the latest promotions (which, we are happy to say, are generous) visitors can access plenty of other useful information by clicking on tabs at the head of the page. To get started quickly, however, all you need to do is select the Download button and the software will being the download and installation process. Registering here takes just a few moments, and involves nothing more taxing than providing the basic personal information such as name, e-mail and phone number if all you want to do is play for fun. If you want to play for real then you’ll also need to provide your payment information.

As you downloaded the software client, you may have noticed that it still bears the old Ritz Club Online logo. We let that one go, but when we actually entered the casino and were welcomed to “Ritz Club” by the same female voice we always heard at the old site, we were a tad surprised.

We took a look around and confirmed our suspicions – very little has changed here. Yes, the web domain is now www.clubonthepark.com, but the gaming experience is identical to the one we reported on when reviewing Ritz Club. Now, it could be that the software itself will be overhauled (at least, that’s what we thought “new platform” meant), but why announce the new site to everyone if that hasn’t been done yet?

We’re not complaining about the gaming experience, of course. Ritz Club was always an enjoyable site, and first time visitors will discover a casino that is well stocked with loads of great games that are each graphically impressive and enjoyable to play. But we think we’ll save our full-scale review for when the “new platform” is put into place. Until then, we recommend this casino, but we can’t promise anything different than we’ve described previously.
